The shoot with Lara was great 1) because she's awesome 2) we bonded over our former lives at ad agencies and 3) because it was solely about the portrait and connecting with someone to get a relaxed, real moment. (And lighting helps too, no?)
When bkstyled's founder Rima Campbell asked me to photograph her Clinton Hill apartment, I said yes immediately. I'd never been there before but she's got great taste, so I knew it wouldn't be disappointing. Très Brooklyn!
It's here - Open Show NY #9 at the Bronx Documentary Center. Our first themed show! - HOME! We're presenting amazing photography from Brenda Ann Kenneally, Laura Glabman, Nancy Borowick, Sheila Griffin and Smita Sharma.
In case you're wondering, I use Squarespace which has made my website and blog updates much easier than when I was on Clickbooq. Plus it's HTML-based.

A couple weeks ago I joined Rima and Rachel of bkstyled for their monthly meeting (full disclosure: I shoot for bkstyled) at Anella in Greenpoint. Generally, if I see a burger on the menu, I can't help but order it. This time I opted for a slightly lighter, but not too much, meal - prosciutto and spinach omelette. Can we say YUM?
Maybe I should've ordered something seemingly healthier...
Wahoo! Bjarne Jonasson shot Erin Heatherton for Elle France. Bjarne and I worked together for a couple years with Team David Sims. He's Dave's former 1st assistant. So excited that he's killing it!
