Behind the scenes from Sunday's shoot.
Over the weekend I photographed Junior Schouten of Big Apple Edibles, an organic vegetable garden designer. Knowledgeable and passionate about nutrition, Junior's calming presence, dare I say, vibe, was refreshing from the city madness. A pleasure to have worked with him!
Yesterday I photographed Caroll Lee of Provenance Meals. Based in Brooklyn, they cook and deliver - yes, deliver - to you organic, healthy meals. Gluten-free or doing Paleo? No prob. Another reason I love living in Brooklyn!
Happy Monday everyone! I spent the weekend showcasing Brooklyn to a friend who moved to NYC from New Delhi on Thursday. We had a BBQ at the house, hit up Smorgasburg and of course, Hannah's Homemade Pimento Cheese launch party at Sweet Chick.
I shot Hannah Parker and Erin Alston and their cheeses for their Zaarly storefront - check it out here. The photo's a little blurry but sweet!

That's the majority of it. Now to finish prepping.
One of my shoots last week was with Hannah Parker and Erin Alston of Hannah's Homemade, makers of pimento cheese. I'm from the South (Nashville) and grew up with pimento cheese and never particularly liked it. Theirs is good though!
I've shot Jenny and Jonny, the masters behind Brooklyn's Better Off Spread, twice now. The first time for BK Styled and then for their Zaarly storefront - both shoots out now!
FYI - Ace of Spice is my fave, but Every Rosemary Has Its Thorn is right behind it.
I've recently started shooting more product, particularly food. It's such a different mindset from shooting people. More structured, more little tweaks, a lot more patience! I do enjoy it though. Watch out Irving Penn! ;o)
