New work! Love having new work out. Today it's a profile on By Brooklyn, a one-stop source for all your locally-made needs. Looking for jewelry, cards, soaps, goodies (including my new fave peanut butter makers Better off Spread, whom I've shot twice already!) - Gaia DiLoreto probably has it in her store. Check out the article on BK Styled for more photos - http://bkstyled.com/bk-spotlight-by-brooklyn/
I've shot Jenny and Jonny, the masters behind Brooklyn's Better Off Spread, twice now. The first time for BK Styled and then for their Zaarly storefront - both shoots out now!
FYI - Ace of Spice is my fave, but Every Rosemary Has Its Thorn is right behind it.
I've recently started shooting more product, particularly food. It's such a different mindset from shooting people. More structured, more little tweaks, a lot more patience! I do enjoy it though. Watch out Irving Penn! ;o)
Shooting milliner Amy Lehfeldt today for BK Styled in her gorgeously lit (natural light of course) studio. And how awesome is the industrial wall texture! I was shooting her straight on, while Rima of BK Styled took this. Reposted from the BK Styled instagram feed.
After two days of failed flight attempts (due to back weather in Newark and the ensuing backlog), I'm back in hot and steamy NYC. Today I shot a profile on Aaron Ruff of Digby and Iona jewelry. The rest of the week is all about working on the Nashville shoots. Stayed tuned!
